Carlise Sorenson

 Science Communication Fellow

Carlise Sorenson is a recent graduate from the Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering Master’s Program at the University of Minnesota. She focused on developing novel biological methods for water and wastewater remediation, which piqued her interest in science communication as she discovered that the most fulfilling part of her master’s work lied in engaging others in the research being done. To pursue this interest, she joined the Science Communication Lab in March 2020. Carlise’s goals are to highlight the intersection of science, environment, and public health while working towards implementing designs for sustainable development.
