Writing skills developed in the Sci Comm Lab extend beyond the university
Nearly 365 days since starting in the lab, I achieved a milestone that shows how much my writing has improved over the last year. An Op-Ed I wrote about Governor Tim Walz’s role in the Enbridge Line 3 pipeline was published in MinnPost. I was excited to see my writing reach a broader audience, even garnering responses from Minnesota politicians online. The views expressed are my own as an individual and do not reflect the University’s. However, the writing techniques do reflect what I’ve learned from the SCL, especially in the storytelling of my friend Joey’s truck.
